Dolly & Mohan Bhagwat

Dolly has been overwhelmed by the spontaniety of the Delhi's protests over the Damini Rape case. Peopel are angry at who we have become. That we never speak out, that we mind our business, looking at the ground, and say, aise hee hota hain, yeh hai hindistan.  Yes, some years ago, she would rave and rant at any misconduct or wrong doing. Now she too says to Humayun, her husband, don't you see, we are failures because we never learnt to bend the rules enough. She too has become brainwashed.

Then this outburst---by young people, braving the cold, taking metros and buses--telling the Netas, move it baby, or your time too is up--Wow, Dilliwalas are brave, rather young Dilliwalas are brave, they still have the fire that brns in them--all isn't lost in this mera bharat mahaan.

Maybe Delhi/India, will in her lifetime become a better place, maybe politics will turn on its heels, and usher in a new sort of leadership---who knows, anything can happen when the anger of teh gods is aroused.

Then Mohan Bhagwat talks of India & Bharat? A respected man who has given up his life to purging society. Aree Mohan bhai, kya India, kya Bharat---wrong is wrong anywhere? And lecherous men are lecherous men anywhere, India or Bharat.

Besides, kya timing hain aapka? Kabhi soch ke boliye? Bharat ki Mahila aap ke saath hain is jung mein ki nahin?

Aur Mard agar Lakshman rekha cross karega tho usko kaisi `Ravana' le jayegi? Mohan Bhagwat should remember, shayad Ravana ka roop lekar, koi mahila na aadmi ka apman kar de---

So the Book Launch of "Nicholas Roerich--a Quest & a Legacy" took place at the India International Centre on 13th March, 2013, amidst many friends, family and admirers of Roerich's work. It is the work of all the essayists from all over the world that have made this a worthwhile effort. Thank you to all--I now feel I understand the man somewhat, and if I am not privileged to paint like him, at least I have done my bit to preserve some of his legacy. Why? because some things are just meant to be--and sometime a work of art carries that bit of the God particle we are all seeking, and becomes eternal. Once again, thank you to all the contributors who made this possible.
